metal clunking on my x4, i already replaced control arms and ball joints, so rack and pinion could be the culprit
Do you have a full rebuild video?
Salut, cum ai rezolvat-o ?
Hello Patrick, great video, thanks. I have one favour to ask: Can you provide the ball bearing, schimms and oil rings you chose ((size/make. I have the OE-Numbers). That would be much appreciated 🙂
Hi Ludwig, if you check Salis Parts website they state the bearing and seal numbers (all info you need to buy from your local supplier). The shims are non-standard size, you need to get them from for example Salis or Ulis
Ingen Trond ingen KLM.
Det er faktisk HELT KORREKT. Uten Trond er de bare LM.
Damn that sounds so deep and good! Allies beware!

Har samme problemet på min 535d. Merket du noen vibrasjoner? Byttet du tannstangen selv?
😍👍
How did you find about this ? Was it noticeable while driving ? Any vIbrations or knocking ?
I swear that those bmw steering racks are complete garbage .. my e39 with 190k kilometers is doing exactly same thing on drivers side. My e46 has horrible play between the actual rack and pinion when steering wheel is centered. And my e36 has play like this on both sides.... Is it only me or every used bmw has bad steering rack ? 🤦🤦
только утебя плохие!!
You are right! All of them are garbage! Mine has the same problem!!
Классно поет
O
Can I ask why the break levers are on the other side of the handle bars

I saw one of these stored in a garage...about 1950...those reverse style levers are unusual...

Anybody recognize the scales? I need one just like this application...
Marel is the producer of the scales and volume scanners
Have you buy it yet .?
I watched this video since I was 18. I am 30 and still amazed by the sound.
Douglas in England started building boxer twins first BMW were impressed by the design and copied it later the Russian we're impressed and also copied it . Gilera were winning gp's with inline four's in the 1950's it took Honda nearly twenty years to produce an inline four for the masses anyone who denies the importance of the Japanese factory's in the history of motorcyling is a fucking idiot and should shut his fuckwit face . As for the tinny sound of some Japanese bikes that's the sound of durability and reliability . I have had BMW triumph Harley and Ducati and I enjoyed them all and scores of infiorior Japanese bikes funny how they won so many races being all tinny and all and that BMW copied them to produce a TT winning bike of late the road going version with engines that go bang and break holes in the cases and all the oil pours out . They tried to copy them but they couldn't get that tinny reliability quite right LOL lovely old zundap my old air head BMW R 100 was a joy to ride it handled far better that Japan bikes of it's era but couldn't keep up on the straights .

Have to say during hitler time, lots of great and exceptionally uniques things were made like this. During world war times, technology werent this much advanced as much this bike holds, HATS OFF!!! Driveshaft to rear wheel instead chain or that belt. Even many many of the bikes still comes with belt and chain operations. Kill switch i get to see in todays bikes. Most imp fact, no matter how much in beaten and worse form people found zundapp, zundapp starts lovely with very less effort. ITS BUILD QUALITY, ENGINEERING DYNAMICS ALL PERFECT!!! MOSTLY YOUNG GENERATION FOUND THIS CRAP, TO ME THIS IS FATHER OF MACHINATION.
The robots let one slide by...
Saw plenty of these while stationed in Germany early 70's, beautiful bikes. Wish they would have caught on stateside, I'd love to own one.
Beautiful simple old bike sounds nice too!
Ez igen ! Nagyon szépen jár. Gratulálok.
Marty! we gotta go back!
nice bike
Is it for sale?
Thanks so much for this. This is actually the first time I have heard a Zundapp idle. Surprised at the mechanical clatter though.
...Yeah, pretty noisy mechanicals, especially for a flathead...
Zundapp is a true vintage motorcycle in the world
I can't believe that guy put his lighter up to that machine tag. Talk about disrespectful. Jerk.
disrespectful to a generator?
This is 10 times cooler than harleys and street bikes!
